The Bachelor(ette) Challenge

So, let's look at today's relationship scores:



She now has two bolts and is at least friends with most of the guys--best friends and a crush with Jack--but unsurprisingly, after he was the only one to reject her advances, R. Daneel has easily the lowest score and is out. Bye, R. Daneel. I look forward to playing you properly as the "love machine" you were meant to be, after the challenge is over. Go pick up the paper and "Find Own Place".

R. DANEEL: CLANK GLITCH THUNK SPROING WHEEEEE!
Wow. Looks like having him swim to the date room wasn't the world's best idea.



And then he decided to swim AGAIN during his short-circuit-induced freak-out. Of course.



After breaking down for the second time and forcing me to risk two other Sim's lives (nobody got electrocuted this time) repairing him AGAIN...



...he finally managed to Find Own Place and leave. At night. So...what was that time of day eliminations are supposed to happen at? Oh that's right--NOON. Wow. Dude can't even leave without causing all kinds of drama.





But nobody noticed 'cos we were already working on the official evening activity by this time.

"Evening dates--let each of your single sims have one hour alone with the Lonely Sim in a room that has music. Initiate one flirt, but let them do what they want the rest of the time."

This house being so full of distractions, I literally had to LOCK THEM IN to the "room with music", or else they would've wandered off and not spent time with each other for that hour at all. Probably a skosh against the rules, but eh. Anyway, her date with Buddy went well--he accepted her Caress this time, and then they danced. Like a wave on the ocean, romanced--oh, wait. How'd I get that song in my head?







More redundant flirting with Jack, as they've already "gotten together", but again, rules are rules. He accepts the Caress...
...and then on his own, glomps her in a dramatic Make Out!
Then, again on their own, they decide to Hold Hands...and we have our first LOVE of the contest. Whoah.

Oh and also he's turned into his werewolf form. Heh. Now I remember--THAT'S what distracted everybody from R. Daneel's goodbye scene. I swear, I TOOK a picture of him wolfing out! I did! Where did all these pictures go? :(









Raistlin's turn. He accepts the Caress, and--as you can see here from the little pink hearts floating nearly off the screen (I NEVER catch those things right when they happen)--mutual crush!
Then she...ARGUES (?!) with him on the date--ah, that one-Nice-Point personality coming into play, folks! (Notice she's smiling while she does it, however) and then decides to make it up to him with a backrub. All in all, not too bad.





With Reggie, she decides to get a little...hands-on!...with her flirting. Surprisingly it worked, and we have another mutual crush.

Do you want to know what she kept doing for most of the hour, during each date? Yelling at the locked door because she wanted to go off and autonomously WOO-HOO in the hot-tub! On every single date! (Well, actually the guys were doing that too. I have no idea who initiated it.)
Oh, THIS surely isn't going to result in nastiness later. Nope. I can't see this causing any disaster at all.



Day Five: "Morning dates--change things around. Have each of your singles initiate one flirt, one hug and one kiss with your Lonely Sim."
Yeah, I'll get right on that hand-holding, double-straws-in-the-same-strawberry-malt date at the sockhop as soon as Belinda is done having sex.



Of course the flirting goes well with him, and I have him do it (hurr, she said "do it") while they're both still in the bedroom. Easier than chasing her down later.



Then, for a change of pace, I decide to do this morning's flirting whereever the characters already happen to be instead of going to the "date room" again ('cos that results in a whole lot of peaceful, boring screenshots that look almost exactly the same) and as Buddy leaps into her arms...WHOAH-oh! BUSTED!
(Lookit that "Ohhhh, shit." look on her face. She KNOWS she's in trouble.)



And WHAP!--the first jealousy-slap of the challenge!



Being a Mean Sim, however...Belinda slaps right back!



And then right on with the morning "dates" as Buddy tries his flirt--a serenade--while in the background, Jack is like, "Screw you guys, I'm'a play mah-jong with my best friend Reggie."



"Do you like what you see?" The answer--ooh, muscles! (Sims never get muscles that look even REMOTELY like that, but whatever.) All that bowling has now made him Fit, which as you'll recall is one of her turn-ons. I was actually supposed to do one hug, one flirt and one KISS, but I forgot and thought we were supposed to do exactly the same thing as before, only reversed--so I had them ask her if she liked what she saw, instead. Ah well.



Then she hugs Raistlin right in front of Buddy...who, unlike Jack, is strangely calm about it. Huh.



And yes, she likes what she sees. Notice that there isn't any specific turn-on trait in that speech balloon, like muscles or a hair colour or whatever...she just likes HIM, because she now has a crush on him.





And she's flattered by Reggie's serenade and likes what she sees on him, too. Not surprising, considering they also have a mutal crush. And AGAIN, Buddy? Perfectly fine with all of this.



It's now noon and therefore time to tally up the scores again. Who's in--and who's out? It's pretty bloody obvious this time but tune in anyway for the NEXT: Bachelorette Challenge!
