"All's Fair..."

Random Hetalia Pairings--Take 1

Meet our lovely hostess, Madame Lavendar. This is the only decent closeup that didn't go bye-bye due to Hypersnap crashing right after I shut down the game. Oy.

And her elegantly fluffy drag-queen kitty, Violette, posing picturesquely in near-matching flowers. (Nostalgia Chick voice) He's PAAAAAAAAAANNNNK.

And a nice shot of the two of them together. Awww.

Anyway, meet Belgium and Germany, our randomly-selected--nope! They're actually part of the welcome wagon! The game, on its own, picked two random Hetalians for me. How tempted was I to just say "screw it" and use them rather than what I pre-rolled on the Random Pairing Generator, because they were already here? Very. (nods)

Once inside, Germany immediately heads for the chessboard (shock), while Belgium and third welcome-wagon member Balbina Darwin--who have a bit of a crush on each other--head right for the heart-shaped double bed and stare at it together. Subtle, ladies.

Well, it's getting into afternoon, so our hostess nicely goes and makes everybody some open-faced cheese sandwiches without being told. The two not-pairing nations sit down and have a nice lunch in the GIRLIEST kitchen I have ever made. :P

While out in the yard, Balbina (Legacy spare/placeholder character for the household Belgium lives in, which is why they know each other) and Madame Lavendar have a lovely cafe brunch. Guess who's house they're right across from!
(and why is one of the flags invisible? urgh)

Okay, okay, enough of that. I could've saved time by not doing this on Madame's moving-in day, but hey. Since the welcome wagon turned out to be other Hetalia characters, this is more fun! Anyway, meet our actual random-pairing characters: Denmark...

And here thanks to the finest time-travel technology we could steal find, Grandpa Rome!

Within the first minute of their meeting, Denmark has a want to woo-hoo (just, in general, not woo-hoo anybody in particular) and Rome is hearting at him. Bwahahah.

The feeling is mutual..I mean the hearts, not the BWAHAHAH.

Believe it or not, Rome here is just chatting, and also believe it or not, he's happy. But this fits in so well with my Hetalia Sims' other weird behaviour patterns--dancing angrily, arguing happily, etc.--that it seems perfectly natural at this point.
BELGIUM: (staring at them) Y'all be trippin'.

Denmark talks about crime...

And solicits a yawn--just about the only negative interaction that happened between them the entire time.

Whoah-ho, two bolts.

DENMARK: Okay, so like, this guy went to the eye-doctor...

DENMARK: ...and asked him if it was okay to wear his prescription sunglasses at night.

And the doctor said: "Of course not! Even a baby would know that!"

ROME: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
I guess it's funnier in the original Simlish?

Rome admires Denmark, and just as I'm wondering if the points are high enough to tenatively try for a flirt...

THIS.
Well, that answers that question.
And NO, Denmark canNOT come to the phone--he's a little busy right now, Monaco!
(Funny that she's the one who called--and right at this particular minute. Because she has a crush on Denmark! What, was her cheaty-sense tingling?)

D'awww. Romantic mood lighting.
Actually I'm glad I installed any lights there at all, considering I didn't expect this to happen outdoors (although I should've).

GLORMPF (eats face)

Awww. Again.

Enough cute romance. Time for...frolicking. Bomp chicka bow-wow!

Lookit that smug expression on Rome, there. He knows what he just did. It's like, "Oh, yeah. I'm good."

While Denmark is speed-gestating thanks to boolprop, Rome goes inside and makes...something that looks kinda Italian? I approve.

Then Hypersnap's unexpected crash ate all the pictures of Denmark's pregnancy stages, but dear heavens! What's this thing?

And then some more eaten pictures, including all the growing-up stages of the twins (of COURSE it'd be twins, with my game) and Belgium and Balbina getting up to their own lesbian shenanigans in the hottub (which I knew was gonna happen).

Anyway, at least I have the final family picture! The boys are Copenhagen Augustus, on the left, and Aarhus Augustus, on the right. (My naming scheme is: A city from the carrying-parent, aka "mother"'s, country, and then a middle name from the father's country. Not necessarily THEIR human last name.)
I forgot that Denmark's hairdo is a custom one so instead of coming out dark-haired or blonde but with their own hairdos, they came out EXACTLY like him...but it took so long to make the bloody house and pimp character, I was worn out and couldn't be bovvered with makeovers.

Neither one of them is gorgeous--I'd say Copenhagen has more of Grandpa Rome's features, if you see him in profile, and with some makeup to take care of those giant bags under his eyes he'd be fine. Aarhus, meanwhile, was the dorky, goofy looking one his entire childhood and then suddenly blossomed into the cuter one in their teens. Wish you could see that, but, eaten pictures. Ah well.

Catch you next time for another random pairing that will hopefully go a little smoother. Until then, keep up "diplomatic ties" ;)!
