Episode 4: "What Should I Do? Piling Panic!"

Wha...? See Yuushi's expression, in this picture? That's pretty much me in the morning. :P
I think that means she likes you. Yuushi and Kokoru take another temp job, this time as babysitters...but that doesn't necessarily mean a _human_ kid, as Yuushi finds out! Here, Mokorin, which seems to be a...featureless large animated ball of cotton, leaps on top of Yuushi and glows pinky-purple, when she compliments it. I think that's Mokorin's way of saying she likes you. :P
"Oh, no! A duel right here in the middle of the street! What shall I do? (snicker) No, seriously...Grenda was so proud of herself because HER job was also taking care of kids, but at a higher class--she was to be the tutor for the son of a noble. However, again, they never said it'd be a HUMAN noble...and, er, classes don't seem to be going all that well. (She and the griffin kid just fight each other all the time, or, rather, the griffin beats HER silly and she can't do anything about it.)
Not in front of the Muggles! Princess Grenda is about ready to cut loose with some "gorgeous magic" (and the Japanese voice-actress says "gorgeous" in English, which is kinda odd-sounding) when Gaga flies in (in his weird winged cat-thing form) and warns her that she's not allowed to do that in front of humans. (So, she's under the Restriction Against Under-Age Wizardry...? ;) No, seriously, the Queen/Principal, back in episode 2, told her she couldn't use her magic anymore. I thought it just meant _at school_, but it appears she's not allowed to use it anywhere in the whole kingdom.
Well, hey, when you're the _Queen_, I guess you CAN make your rules kingdom-wide...
"Um...this isn't good..." Going off into a daydream about "her Prince", Yuushi tossed way too many vegetables into the pot of food she was cooking for Mokorin...and the creature, eating ALL of the food, starts to grow...and grow...and then _splits_ into ten pieces and flies all over town! Let this be a lesson to you--don't daydream while cooking! (waves finger).
Remember me? Thinking she had gotten away from her "pupil", the griffin, Grenda confidently strides off down the street...but guess WHA-aaat...? (evil grin)
Occult Vending Machine Yuushi's in trouble, but guess who's here to help her, as always...CUBE! Here he's trying to cast another one of his little "conjuring" spells. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to do a spell right in the middle of the street where people might walk through it at the wrong moment, but hey...
You just can't get good help these days! However, the Spirits from Beyond are on vacation, so Cube will just have to pull the device he asked for (a "Brownie Aspirator", which sounds like something that helps pixies with asthma, to me) out of the circle himself. (When he does so, it makes a weird "splortch" sound, too.) Have I said how much I _love_ the sarcastic, silly way magic is handled in this show? :)
Yuushi does her hair... Same as the commercial bumper on Episode 1, at first...
Except... that this time, it's revealed that Cube was holding up the mirror the whole time! Poor Cube! He has to do _everything_ around here, doesn't he? (And this bumper is SO like the way he is in the game, it's not even funny.)
"Why do I have to clean up?" Because you're waaaaaay too nice and accomodating and you let people push you around, dear. Cube is a sweet guy, but I swear, he lets himself (both here and in the game) be taken advantage of, way too much...
Oh, what a nice young man you are! How'd he get roped into this, again...?
"It's NOT a vacuum-cleaner! ? They know about vacuum cleaners? I always thought this realm was supposed to be fairly medieval... (Sorry for taking so many shots of this bit, but I just thought the lines were funny, and the expressions on Cube's face were absolutely priceless. ;))
Cube, ACTION-HERO!! I just adore this shot, it's just so...well, _cool_. In a funny way. Who ya gonna call? (Wait, calling _demons_ to get rid of _ghosts_, I dunno...) It also reminds me of that bit in MST3K where they did the "Aliens" parody, and Joel came striding "actionly" in, all "brave" and "heroic"...with a device that looked much like a mutated vacuum cleaner strapped over his back, and the nozzle pointing at the evil "Timmy". "Get away from him, you BITCH!" hee hee...
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" And here, Yuushi gets her own "action-hero"...er, heroine--pose. She's just tracked down one of the pieces of Mokorin to the hair salon (where you can get paid 24 gold per day if you do well ;)) where it (the piece) was masquerading as a strange fluffy white "wig". (I love the expression on her face in this picture, and the pose, but I wish I had been able to think of a better filename..."yuushinet" sounds like she has her own website! :P)
Oof! Cube drops STRAIGHT off the roof on his quest to catch one of the pieces. Ow, I don't care _what_ your background is, that's gotta _hurt_!
"EEEEEEKK!!" Cube just found out _who_ is holding the piece he was looking for! Notice that even though he's totally freaked out by her, he's still calling her "Sama". Now, if _I_ was royalty, that's the kind of respect I'd want from MY minions. :)
Easier to get forgiveness than permission. Rather than explain anything at all or apologise, Cube just flat out GRABS the thing from a very mystified Grenda...
Er...what just happened here?...and runs off, before she has a chance to react! (cracks up) GO CUBE! This part was so funny, I just _had_ to take multiple shots of it...
Poor widdle fings... They've searched everywhere, yet could only find nine of the ten pieces...where could the other one be? This picture of Yuushi and Cube flopped against each other, back-to-back, totally exhausted, was _so_ sweet and cute I just couldn't resist. Awww...Don't they make such a great team?
"THANK you thankyouthankyou!" Yuushi finds the last piece, finally...and it turns out Kokoru had it! See, you _do_ exist, after all, "megami-sama". ;)
"ALWAYS?"! Here we see our main three heroes, with Yuushi and Cube doing a classic stunned expression, as they hear from Miruka (Mokorin's owner) that Mokorin ALWAYS splits into ten like that whenever she (Miruka) feeds her, and they didn't have to go to all that hurry and secrecy after all! ACK!
